ICYMI: Nilufer Mutlu '14 came to Maryland from Bulgaria with one suitcase and the dream of becoming a nurse. Her first obstacle was to learn English. Today, she works at a hospital on the MC Campus. Her story, "Latitude Adjustment," featured in the latest issue of Insights, coincides with "Fabulous at 50," the nursing program's 50th anniversary milestone. Plus--find out which language skills are now in high demand by US employers and how MC is helping promote language education in "Speaking of Fluency." Short features look at how the College is helping the community: addressing food insecurity ("Food For Thought"), single parenting challenges, student activism, and more. Read it online or in print--let us know what you think: editor@montgomerycollege.edu.
