The Paul Peck Humanities Institute is excited to bring SpeakeasyDC's dynamic performance, <B>"Wetbacks, Aliens, & Towelheads: True Stories from the First Generation" to the Rockville Campus's Theatre Arts Arena on Wednesday, March 31 at 7 p.m. </b>

This description is from the event Web site:

"Five artists tell true stories about being children of immigrant parents or immigrants themselves. In true SpeakeasyDC style, the stories are expertly crafted and combine humor, honesty, and insight to create an unforgettable night of riveting entertainment."

Featured as part of the 2010 Intersections Arts Festival at Atlas Performing Arts Center in DC in February and March, this performance was one of the most popular shows of the highly regarded three-week festival celebrating the defiance of boundaries associated with genre, race, age and class.

"Wetbacks, Aliens, & Towelheads: True Stories from the First Generation" is a part of the DC Speakeasy Our City Our Stories Project. To find out more about the Project, go to:

Or listen to WAMU's February 26th broadcast, featuring an interview with "Wetbacks" Director Amy Saidman:

Tickets to this show have been selling out at $18.50 per seat. However, <B>this performance is free and open to our communities.</b>

Please join us for an unforgettable performance!

Faculty who plan to bring entire classes are invited to reserve group seats so that your students can sit together.

To request accommodations for a disability, please contact or call 240-567-5170 two weeks prior to the event.

Hope to see you there!
