Additional Finance Self Service Banner Training Sessions Now Offered

Additional Finance Self Service Banner training sessions have now been scheduled.

Description: Finance Self Service Banner (2.5 hrs)

This "hands on" session will focus on accessing Banner Finance through the web. Attendees will be able to perform a Budget Query of accounts they are authorized to view. Budget queries will show the availability of funds as well as the financial transactions that have been recorded to the accounts. Users will be shown how to download budget queries into an Excel spreadsheet. Another feature of Finance Self Service Banner is the Encumbrance Query which allows users to view purchase orders by account number. The training session will conclude with the View Document feature where users can view information for various finance documents (requisition, purchase orders, etc.). The scheduled sessions are as follows:

TP/SS: RC 211 October 20, 2010 1:30 - 4:00 p.m.
40 W Gude: Room 115C October 21, 2010 1:30 - 4:00 p.m.
40 W Gude: Room 115C October 27, 2010 9:30 a.m. - noon
Germantown: HS 203 November 3, 2010 2 - 4:30 p.m.
OITB: Room 308 November 11, 2010 1:30 - 4:00 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of three registrants by the deadline date will be required for a session to be offered.

We've set aside two and a half hours for class time, but anticipate that the actual session will take less time. Any free time that may become available can be used for answering any questions you may have regarding your particular accounts.

To register for sessions:
- Copy and paste the following link into a web browser: http://appserv.montgomerycollege.edu/signup/user/
- Click the Search icon.
- On the last line titled 'Keywords' type the word Finance and than click the Search button.
- Use the vertical scroll bar within the Professional Development System to view all sessions being offered.
- Select the session you want to attend and click on the Sign Up button near the top of the page.
- Follow the directions as they appear on the site.
