The Department of Visual Arts and Design welcomes you to the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus to view recent paintings by artist Anne Marchand at The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Arts Center.
In a series of abstract paintings Anne Marchand explores a new vocabulary of color and texture in the swirling vortexes of nebulas and the surfaces of moons and planets, bringing these into her ongoing search for ways to approach mystic poetry through visual expression.
Exhibit Title: "Of Shining Worlds"
Exhibit Dates: September 19 - October 19, 2011
Reception: Thursday, September 22, 6-8 p.m.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Location: The King Street Art Gallery is located on the ground floor of The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Arts Center on the west side of the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus off Georgia Avenue at 930 King Street. Parking is available in the West Garage, which is located immediately behind the center. Additional parking is in the East Garage on Fenton Street with pedestrian access by a bridge and walking path.
