NISOD's Innovation Abstracts, an enrichment resource for faculty and staff, will now be available weekly on Inside MC Online and MyMC. This publication is NISOD's flagship teaching strategies document that disseminates practitioner-written descriptions of successful teaching and learning practices and strategies, programs, and initiatives each week of the academic year.
"I know of the benefit of receiving timely information on a wide array of topics of interest to faculty, staff and administration from throughout Montgomery College," said Dr. Clarice Somersall, special assistant to the senior vice president for academic affairs, shares, who has received the innovation abstracts in the past.

In "Let's Party Like Our (Successful) Future Is Now: The 10-Year Class Reunion as a Goal-Setting Experience," Samantha Christian, instructor of psychology, and Lauren Hehmeyer, professor of English and history, at National Park Community College (AR), describe a successful strategy for encouraging students to define and develop educational goals, help improve their self-esteem as they actively plan to pursue their career dreams (or create them), and develop their reflection skills.
