Starting this summer, Montgomery College, Workforce Development & Continuing Education (WD&CE) is offering the nationally recognized Personal Fitness Trainer Certification. The Personal Training Career is one of the fastest growing careers in the health & fitness industry. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, "Employment of personal fitness professionals is expected to increase faster than the average for all occupations through 2020."
WD&CE is partnering with the certifying organization World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) to offer this course. The certification allows new trainers to train healthy adults through a fitness program. Students do not need previous knowledge in health and fitness; the course helps them build their knowledge from the ground up.
Take advantage of this career advancement opportunity by taking this training. The six-week course starts this June, but attendance at an orientation session on May 19 is required. For more information please call Karen Ambrose at 240-567-2592. See the attached flier for details!
