It is exciting to learn that there is more than one way to earn college credits at Montgomery College.
During the month of June, the College will sponsor three Assessment of Prior Learning Information Seminars, one at each campus to inform students about these alternative credit bearing options. A student can earn college credit for their work experience through the portfolio option, or by taking a CLEP examination for knowledge that they already have and earn that college credit. Students may even be able to challenge the final exam of a professor's course if their knowledge equates to the goals and outcomes of the course.
The first seminar will be held on Thursday, June 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the Rockville Campus, Humanities Building, Room 132. The second one will be at the Germantown Campus on Tuesday, June 19 at 12:30 p.m. in Sciences and Applied Studies Building, Room 111. The third will be at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus on June 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Services Center, Room 301.
Chose one and join us to learn about these creative ways to earn your college credits!
