Presented by MC's Motorcycle Safety Program, open house features local motorcycle vendors and their merchandise and motorcycle safety courses that the college offers as an independent training center under contract with the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration.

You will have the opportunity the MVA's Honda SMARTrainer motorcycle traffic situation simulator, which simulates the riding experience and will allow open house attendees to test their riding skills.

Additional open house highlights include presentations from several local motorcycle shops, including Battley Cycles and Honda PowerSports of Rockville. In addition you will have several insurance options to learn about, including Rider Insurance and Schwink Allstate Agency, making this a must-attend event for every motorcycle enthusiast.

MC's motorcycle instructors will be on hand to talk to attendees about the numerous motorcycle safety courses offered by the college. MC offers different courses for bikers of varied experience levels - from those who've logged thousands of miles on a bike to someone just beginning to consider the world of motorcycle riding.

The most popular course offered at MC is the four-day Basic Rider Course. Designed as a true beginning course for those who have little or no riding experience, it is taught by MVA- and Motorcycle Safety Foundation-certified instructors.

Completion of the 17-hour course, which includes classroom and riding instruction for basic street riding over one weekend, allows participants to seek a MVA class "M" license endorsement.
