The MC Athletic Department recognized several of its athletic alumni between the men's and women's basketball games on Saturday, January 25. One of the very special MC athletic alumni, Patrick Cole, was recognized for his achievements at halftime of the men's basketball game. His outstanding career was recently crowned on January 10 by being inducted into the 2014 Semi-Pro Football Hall of Fame in Palm Springs, California.

Patrick Cole was a two-year starter as offensive tackle for the Montgomery College Knights in 1986 and 1987. He was selected first team Region 20 all-conference during both years. Upon leaving Montgomery College, Patrick had a distinguished career with numerous semi-pro football teams. His semi-pro career began as a two year starter for the Virginia Storm in 1988 and 1989. He later played for the Baltimore Bears, DC Stonewalls and Montgomery County Invaders and during those years he was consistently voted an all-league performer at right tackle. His football talents later took him overseas from 1999-2004 where he played for teams in Vienna, Austria, the South of France, the Czech Republic and Great Britain. In 2005, he returned to the United States to continue his career with the Hawaiian Warriors. After Hawaii, Patrick continued to play for teams in Baltimore and Virginia.

Congratulations Patrick Cole!
