Women's and Gender Studies Scholarship Deadline is Feb. 5

The Women's and Gender Studies Scholarship Program is open to all Montgomery College students who are enrolled in classes during the 2013-2014 academic year and who have completed or are currently enrolled in a Women's or Gender Studies course. These courses include the following:

Introduction to Women's Studies (WS 101)
Women in Literature (EN 208)
Understanding LGBT Identities (GS 102)
Women's Health (HE 204)
Women in the Western World (HS 110)
Women in World History (HS 112)
Managing Diversity in the Workplace (MG 120)
Self-Defense for Men (PE 172)
Self-Defense for Women (PE 173)
Weight Training Designs for Women (PE 178)
Women in Philosophy I (PL 207)
Women in Philosophy II (PL 208)
Psychology of Women (PY 207)
Families in Crisis (SO 104)
Sociology of Gender (SO 108)
Introduction to Community Fieldwork (SO201)
Race and Ethnic Relations (SO 208)
Honors Modules of the above listed classes
Honors Classes that focus on women and/or gender

Please encourage your students to apply for these scholarships, which will be awarded at our 27th Annual Scholarship Breakfast, on Thursday, March 13. The awards are granted in amounts of at least $500.00. Applicants are judged on academics, leadership, college and community commitment, and need.

Again, the deadline for completed applications is February 5. Application materials and forms are available on the Women's and Gender Studies website
