MC Faculty (part-time and full-time) are invited to submit a proposal for a 50-minute workshop on innovative pedagogical practices promoting student success. The deadline for consideration is Thursday, September 25, 2014.

The Emerging Classroom: What's New, What's Next
A Professional Development Event for MC Faculty
Saturday, October 25, 2014, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus

Suggested presentation topics include:
Technology to Enhance Student Engagement
The Flipped Classroom
Diversity in the MC Classroom
Student Learning Outcomes
Creative responses to MC's focus on Closing the Achievement Gap
Opportunities to exchange best practices and new ideas within and among disciplines

The form takes only a few minutes to complete, and asks for the following information:
* Facilitator name, short bio and contact information
* Title, short description and measurable outcomes of workshop

Proposal consideration and scheduling for the event will be handled by the ELITE staff.
