Don't know what Raptor Tank is?
The Macklin Business Institute (MBI) and the Montgomery College Business Department are excited to bring you Raptor Tank Business Competition!

The Raptor Tank Business Competition provides MC students with professional skills while providing an outlet for student success in a career as a business owner. The competition is supporting student start-up ideas and economic development by bringing together students with mentors and judges from the entrepreneurial community in a real-life challenge. To participate, MC students are asked to submit the online intent to participate form by Sunday, November 1 ( Informative orientations will then be offered throughout October regarding the application process, with finalists selected in January.

Participants are required to attend one orientation, held on the Rockville Campus. The orientation dates are as follows:

Tuesday October 13, 2:45-3:45 p.m., HU 131

Wednesday October 21, 5-6 p.m., HU 131

Tuesday October 27, 2:45-3:45 p.m., HU 125

A select group of student entrepreneurs will move on to the final round after going through the process of submitting their business plans and attending business workshops. This group will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas in front of a panel of business leaders from a variety of industries. A total of $5,000 in seed money is eligible for the winners selected by the judges, including a bonus "Student Choice" award where students will get to text in their favorite business idea.
