Jose Rivera's Obie Award-winning play Marisol follows a successful young woman whose life turns into a nightmare. After a harrowing experience on her way home, Marisol's guardian angel visits her to inform her that she can no longer serve as Marisol's protector. There's a war in heaven against a dying God, who intends to take the rest of the universe with him. The war spills into New York City, leaving it a wasteland and its people, including Marisol, homeless. With the apocalypse underway, the homeless and displaced people join the angels, who have traded their wings for Uzis and fatigues, in the war to save the universe.
