The Department of Visual and Performing Arts invite you to the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus to view an exhibit titled Ben Abramowitz: Decades at the King Street Gallery.

Decades celebrates the breath of Benjamin Abramowitz's artistic vision. The exhibition includes paintings, sculpture, and works on paper. His vast body of work resists categorization. According to Steven Jones, exhibition curator, Decades "shows the growth of an artist and change of styles as an artist keeps learning and doing, not just repeating."

A lecture precedes the reception for Decades. Susan A. Rosenbaum, Abramowitz's daughter, speaks about her father's life as an artist and the work in Decades. The lecture begins at 5 p.m. in room CF101 on the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus.

Exhibition Dates: February 11 - March 16, 2016

Regular Gallery Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Location: The King Street Gallery is on the ground floor of The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Arts Center on the west side of the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. The arts center is located off Georgia Avenue at 930 King Street. Parking is available in the West Campus Garage, which is immediately behind the center. Additional parking is available in the East Campus Garage on Fenton Street with pedestrian access by a bridge and walking path.
