With a particular focus on student success, individual councils have more measurable goals and agenda items that directly affect constituents, he said. In addition, communication issues between the College Council and all College constituents are being addressed at many levels. "This includes a better and easier-to-find web presence and frequent FYI articles in <i>Inside MC,"</i> Riggs said. "This is not to diminish the importance of proposals that were forwarded to College leadership, which were streamlined this semester," he added. The College Council this fall addressed student and employee concerns, provided feedback to the College on issues of importance, and worked to represent the voices of constituents across the institution. How does this affect the day-to-day life of individuals in the College community? "Every proposal that is acted upon by governance is directly responsible for improving the MC experience for all constituents," Riggs said.
