It's an exciting time of the year in the Office of Student Financial Aid(OSFA) because February is Financial Aid Awareness Month. The OSFA would like to invite students, faculty, and staff to attend a series of workshops that will provide crucial information about accessing federal, state, and institutional financial aid. The workshops will cover a variety of topics including applying for Montgomery College scholarships, managing student loan debt, applying for federal work-study, understanding the MC Satisfactory Academic Progress policy, and tapping into financial aid programs at the state level.

In addition, the OSFA and Welcome Centers at each campus will provide assistance to students with completing the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA and MC financial aid forms must be completed by March 1 to meet the priority deadline for Fall 2017 enrollment.

Montgomery College students that attend a minimum of three (3) workshops during Financial Aid Awareness Month will be entered into a raffle to win a $250 Montgomery College Foundation Scholarship. One scholarship will be available per campus and will be awarded for Spring 2017 enrollment.

For questions, please contact the OSFA at (240)567-5100 or follow us on Facebook at

Financial Aid Awareness Month is sponsored by the Office of Student Financial Aid in collaboration with the Montgomery College Foundation and the Montgomery College Welcome Centers.
