<I>Nominations are now open for the September 2017-May 2018 term of College governance</I>. Nominations are open to everyone, so you may nominate students, faculty, staff, and administrators regardless of your role. You may also nominate yourself. Use your MyMC credentials to access the ballots. All nominees will have an opportunity to accept or decline their nominations, so you may nominate freely. <b>Go to http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/vote to access your ballots now. Nominations close at 5 p.m. on March 10</b>. Elections will be held after spring break, starting in March.
<b>Campus Councils</b> (WDCE, RV, GT, or TPSS): Consider issues relevant to your campus from multiple perspectives (e.g., faculty, staff, students, and administrators). Work closely with the campus provost. Share recommendations with College leadership and the College Council. Meets first Tuesday of each month. Time set by council member agreement.
<b>Functional Councils</b> (Academic Services, Student Services, Operational Services, or Employee Services): Consider Collegewide issues related to a specific College function from multiple perspectives (e.g., faculty, staff, students, and administrators). Work closely with an SVP to learn more about the area and make recommendations to College leadership through College Council. Meets second and/or fourth Thursday of each month. Time set by council member agreement.
<b>Constituent Councils </b> (Faculty, Student, Staff, or Administrator): Consider issues important to constituents based on role. Work closely with an SVP or the Chief of Staff/Chief Strategy Officer. Provide input to College leadership and make recommendations to College leadership through College Council. Meets first and third Thursday of each month. Time set by council member agreement.
When you login, you will have access to four ballots: 2017 Nominations - Administrators, 2017 Nominations - Faculty, 2017 Nominations - Staff, 2017 Nominations - Students. You may nominate individuals to open positions for any or all of these ballots. Administrators, faculty, and staff serve a term of two years. Students serve a term of one year.
