The Gen Ed Committee invites you to attend a full-day conference to learn about assignment design in Gen Ed courses. Keynote speaker Paul Hanstedt, author and professor at Roanoke College and national Gen Ed expert, will present ideas and theory about incorporating energizing and meaningful assignments in Gen Ed courses. Luncheon speaker David Hubert, assistant provost at Salt Lake Community College, will also speak on the topic of innovative ways to measure student mastery of Gen-Ed-related skills.

The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in BE151-152 on the Germantown Campus.

Participants are encouraged to bring an assignment to share in small group discussions.

All attendees will receive a continental breakfast, catered lunch, professional development resources, and a chance to win an iPad.

To register, go to MCLearns and select "Schedule of Classes and Events" and then "Pedagogy & Instruction." Then, scroll through the list to select "General Education Conference."
