The Takoma Park/Silver Spring Writing, Reading, and Language Center and MC Libraries present a hands-on workshop to strengthen academic research and writing skills. Please share with your students.

Students will learn <ul><li>the MC library databases work and the best kinds of sources for writing papers.</li><li> how to avoid plagiarism. </li><li>how to find sources and create a works cited page. </li></ul>At the workshop, students will get to do an MLA practice activity. They can also bring research homework assignments to the workshop for on-the-spot help.

Tuesday, April 11: 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. in RC 211
Wednesday April 12: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in RC211
Thursday April 13: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. RC211 (Also offered as an online workshop--using Firefox or Chrome--via Blackboard Collaborate https://tinyurl.com/sources4-17

Students receive a certificate of attendance once they complete this workshop.
