Dr. Steve Wheatley will present "Algebraic and Transcendental Numbers" on Friday, April 14 at 2 p.m. in SW 301, Rockville Campus. (Simulcast: Germantown room HT 216, Takoma Park/Silver Spring Room MP 140)

A real number is algebraic if it is the root of a polynomial with integer coefficients. But not all numbers are algebraic. Come find out more about these mysterious numbers called transcendental!
