Professor Gregory Sember of the History and Political Sciences Department took his State and Local Government class to Annapolis, Maryland on April 4, 2017, to study what is arguably the most historic state capital in the United States. The visit included a question and answer session with the Court of Appeals Chief Justice Mary Ellen Barbera, a policy discussion with Montgomery County Delegates Eric Luedtke and James Gilchrist, a meeting with and later a Senate floor acknowledgement from Senator Craig Zucker, a detailed tour of the capital, and an observation of legislative business from the gallery above both the House and Senate chambers.
