The Universities at Shady Grove will be hosting their spring open house on Saturday, April 22 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Students, faculty and others are invited to learn more about the undergraduate program offered on site.
Students will have the chance to:<UL><LI>Meet with program reps from all nine partner universities offering undergraduate programs at the USG campus. Discuss program deadlines, admissions requirements, and prerequisite courses needed. Most reps will also evaluate unofficial transcripts on-site at the event.</LI><LI>Meet one-on-one with career counselors if they are unsure of their major, and attend a session on finding a perfect career match.</LI><LI>Attend sessions on financial aid/scholarships.</LI><LI>Have their application fee waived if applying for certain degree programs (UB, UMUC, UMES, and Salisbury will all waive fees for their programs offered at USG).</LI><LI>Take a campus tour and interact with current students at USG from a variety of majors.</LI><LI>Attend an introduction that includes an overview of how USG works and why it is a benefit. </LI><LI>Fill out a Transfer Access Program application on-site, if eligible.</LI><LI>Attend a special session for ACES students; and more!</LI></ul>Students are encouraged to RSVP at http://www.shadygrove.umd.edu/openhouse.
Transfer/Articulation and Recruitment will both have a table at the event.
