These are the details for the 70th annual Montgomery College Commencement: Parking Please enter Rockville Campus from Mannakee Street. The North Campus Drive and Route 355 entrance (near Gudelsky Institute) will be closed. Rockville City Police and MC Security officers will direct traffic and pedestrians. Golf Carts Golf carts will be available to transport guests throughout the parking lots. Robing Processional line-up will begin promptly at 9:15 a.m. Faculty, staff, collegewide and campus administrators: Gudelsky Institute for Technical Education - Auto Bays Students: Physical Education Center - Large Gym (room 119) Platform guests: Gudelsky Institute for Technical Education, main lobby Tickets Montgomery College faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to attend the most important academic occasion of the year and will be admitted by showing their current College identification/name badge, processing in regalia or volunteering at the event. We also encourage you to use the indoor viewing areas in Theatre Arts and the Small Gym (PE 137) or watch on the media sources listed below. Pollard, President Keynote Speaker: Dr. DeRionne Pollard, President, Montgomery College Honorary Associate Degree of Public Service Recipients: Mr. Kenneth Becker, Ms. Audrey Hill, and Mr. James Muir Board of Trustees Scholars: Ms. Kevin Birungi, Mr. Douglas Lindahl, Ms. Tatiana Mendez, and Mr. Austin Wickham Chief Marshal: Mr. Ed Riggs Bearer of the Mace: Dr. Lori Kelman Campus Marshals: Professor Michael Carretta, Professor Swift Dickison, Professor Tracey Smith-Bryant, and Professor John Coliton Central Services Marshal: Ms. Donna Schena After Ceremony Activities Back by popular demand, the reception will be held in Lot #3, adjacent to the commencement tent. In addition to the Alumni Association, who will be selling frames and flowers, there will also be a photo area set-up for graduates in Lot #3. The Montgomery College Raptor will also be mingling with guests and available for photos. Volunteer Opportunities - Still Available If you want to volunteer in the commencement tent or with helping students as the line-up, please e-mail: susan.sullivan@montgomerycollege.edu. Concessions The concession stand will open at 8 a.m. near the commencement tent selling drinks, snacks, and sandwiches. It will be open during the entire ceremony. Indoor Viewing Areas Indoor viewing with air conditioning is available in the Theatre Arts Arena and the Small Gym. No tickets are required. These areas are recommended for guests with small children and/or the elderly.
