Serving Hard-to-Reach Students: TRiO Presents at the 2017 MCCCSAO Best Practices Showcase

Finding & Citing Sources for Research Papers: Workshop Nov. 14 and 15; Online Nov. 16

Category: It's Academic

Published: 2017-11-10 00:00:01.000

Do you know how to find sources for your research paper? Once you have them, do you know how to use in-text citations? How about creating a "Works Cited" page? If you answered "no" to any one of these questions, the Libraries and Writing, Reading & Language Center are here to help.

We invite you to attend a workshop to learn how to find and use sources wisely. A librarian and an instructional associate will teach you how to search the Libraries' article databases and then help you cite documents in MLA format. Certificates of attendance will be available.

The Research and Citations Workshop will be held in the Resource Center, Room 211 on the following dates:
November 14, 2017 (Tuesday), 3:30-4:30pm
November 15, 2017 (Wednesday), 12:30-1:30pm

Can't come in person? We are offering one online session, open to students from all campuses:
November 16, 2017 (Thursday), 6:00-7:00pm
Join the Blackboard Collaborate session:
(Recommended browsers: Firefox or Chrome)

Note to Faculty: These workshops do not replace library instruction for classes.

If you have questions or need special accommodations to participate in the workshop, please contact WRLC Instructional Associate, Adrienne Nicosia, at
