On November 9, 2017, Dr. Pollard emailed a memo collegewide regarding the 2017 Ombuds Recommendations, which included the "President's Adoption of Recommendations in FY17 Ombuds Report." In the memo and attachment, Dr. Pollard not only vowed support for each of the four FY17 ombuds recommendations presented in the Montgomery College Office of the Ombuds Fourth Annual Report, but she also shared comments and gave direction regarding how to implement the recommendations. These four recommendations are listed below:

*Ombuds Recommendation 1: Commit to providing employees protected access to the Office of the Ombuds services, without the fear of retaliation.

*Ombuds Recommendation 2: Integrate the core values of civility and respectful communication into the standards for employee performance for all employees.

*Ombuds Recommendation 3: Provide greater transparency and clear guidelines regarding internal promotion opportunities.

*Ombuds Recommendation 4: Ensure greater and more consistent support for employee career growth.

For more details concerning Dr. Pollard's memo, the adoption of these recommendations or to see the Montgomery College Office of the Ombuds Fourth Annual Report (long or short version), please go to http://www.montomerycollege.edu/ombuds.
