Supporting Completion and Goal Attainment for Maryland Male Students of Color
CALL FOR PRESENTATION PROPOSALS

Target Audience: Students

The gap in academic achievement continues to divide our under-represented male students of color from traditional students. The achievement gap as reflected in college participation, retention and graduation rates, threatens damaging consequences for Maryland as these students fail to complete college, and obtain well-paying jobs and a comfortable standard of living. This persistent gap poses a threat to Maryland's highly skilled workforce necessary to sustain economic development and competitiveness. The Supporting Completion and Goal Attainment for Maryland Male Students of Color Summit will focus on relevant topics and activities designed to educate, equip and enlighten MD community colleges male students of color to effectively increase college and career success.

The Supporting Completion and Goal Attainment for Maryland Male Students of Color Conference will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Montgomery College (Germantown Campus). All Maryland community colleges and other institutions/persons of interest are asked for proposal submissions that provide an evidence-based, collaborative approach to the improvement of the college and career success of male students of color, which include those from various backgrounds (e.g., African-American, Latino, Asian, American Indian, and Pacific Islander).

Upload Attachment for Details and link for submission.
PROPOSAL SUBMISSION is Due Monday, January 8, 2018 - Preference given to earlier submissions.
