As you know, the Women's and Gender Studies Program annual scholarship event will be held on Wednesday, March 7 (5:45 - 7:30 pm) in the Theatre Arts Arena on the Rockville Campus. This is a wonderful event that showcases the achievements of MC students and honors those who support the Women's and Gender Studies Program.

It is also a fundraiser for the Women's and Gender Studies Program student scholarship fund. As part of the fundraising efforts, we will be holding a silent auction, with all proceeds to go towards the student scholarship fund. Last year's silent auction was a huge success - we had everything from beautiful jewelry and handmade scarves to fine art and tickets to local events. Thank you all so much!

This year, we are again requesting contributions of goods and/or services to the silent auction. Maybe you have a special hand-crafted item, or you are willing to contribute your time and services to some lucky bidder, or you have corporate contacts who would be willing to donate goods or services. If you are interested in donating goods (new or in good condition) and/or services to the silent auction, please contact:

Deborah C. Stearns (Rockville) -- Deborah.stearns@montgomerycollege.edu
Sam Bergmann (Germantown) -- Sam.Bergmann@montgomerycollege.edu
Deborah Taylor (Takoma Park, Silver Spring) -- deborah.taylor@montgomerycollege.edu

All the proceeds will go toward the Women's and Gender Studies Program student scholarship fund. The value of the donation may be tax deductible and receipts from the Montgomery College Foundation are available to those who contribute.

Thank you so much for your help in this matter.

Take care,
Deborah C. Stearns, Ph.D.
