On Wednesday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in Theater Arts, noted author, Randall Amster, will speak about his latest book: Peace Ecology. War and civil strife are increasingly connected to global warming. Climate change results in conflicts over food, water, and other resources. Droughts and extreme weather cause masses of people to move.

Prof. Amster of Georgetown University considers the "destabilization of the planet's capacity to support human habitation." His warnings are dire, but solutions show hope. We can replace our war economy with a "peace ecology."
