Your voice matters! The College community is invited and encouraged to provide comments and feedback on the following modifications that have been proposed to the College's Policies and Procedures (link at bottom of this page takes you to the policies and procedures modifications):

<u>39001-College Ombuds</u>

This policy modification adds language to provide specific protection against retaliation for employees who utilize Ombuds services.

<u>61008/61008CP-Reporting Suspected Fiscal Irregularities and Fraud with Whistleblower Protections</u>

These policy and procedure modifications include a title change that more accurately reflects the expansion of "wrongful conduct" that should be reported under this policy and procedure. The reporting process has been streamlined and is in accordance with the new Ethics Point reporting system. The language also aligns with and references the new proposed Protection Against Retaliation policy and procedure. Additional changes include provisions for sharing confidential reports for the purposes of investigation or to comply with a legal request.

<u>New Protection Against Retaliation Policy and Procedure</u>

This new policy and procedure, developed as a result of the Ombuds Office Report, creates a larger framework for providing protection to employees from retaliation for engaging in defined "protected activities." The procedure provides an expanded definition of retaliation, which includes examples of both work and social forms of retaliation that are prohibited. A process for reporting and investigating allegations of retaliation has also been included.
