Consider hosting a high school student this summer (July 9-27, 2018) for a career development experience at Montgomery College! Due to many requests, registration deadline has been extended to April 30!

The deadline extension will enable us to recruit more mentors, so spread the word within your network. Please let others know why you stepped up to support MCPS' high school students in their career development! Become a Mentor! Last day to register is April 30!

Real Interesting Summer Experience (R.I.S.E.) is a locally funded initiative led by WorkSource Montgomery, Inc., Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and key partners that provides rising high school juniors and seniors with enriching, three week, career development experiences.

Calling all departments to...
* Provide career readiness experience to MCPS students from July 9-July 27, 2018, flexible schedules, about 20 hours per week
* Introduce Montgomery County juniors and seniors to workplace norms and experience their enthusiasm, creativity and fresh ideas
* Support our local economy by cultivating Montgomery County's best resources - - its future talent!

To participate in this program, and to register as a career mentor, please contact Enas Elhanafi at enas.elhanafi@montgomerycollege.edu to send you the login information to register for the program. If you find you are able to accommodate more students at your workplace than you originally registered for, please log in to add additional opportunities. One Career Opportunity = One Student. We thank you for considering this as that would be one more student who would benefit from this experience!

For more information, please review the attachments (below) about the 2018 R.I.S.E. Mentoring Program. For information and Frequently Asked Questions about the Protection of Minors Procedures, please visit this link: http://cms.montgomerycollege.edu/protectminors/FAQ/ [If you have any questions, please contact Kristen Roe at Kristen.Roe@montgomerycollege.edu or call 240.567.4279.]

It is important that you register by the deadline. The goal of knowing exactly how many career opportunities we are able to offer this summer for MCPS students will help the program's matching process of students' interests with the mentors' career opportunities. We know this is a commitment on your part and appreciate your support in this undertaking!

Thank you for your service!
