Interested in sharing transfer-related information with your students? Here are four ways to integrate transfer planning into your classroom:

1. Have students attend the Fall Transfer Fairs. The fairs are scheduled for 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on the following days:
* Tuesday, September 25 - Takoma Park/Silver Spring, ST Atrium
* Wednesday, September 26 - Germantown, HT Bldg
* Thursday, September 27 - Rockville, Large Gym

2. Suggest students attend the Transfer Workshop. This fall, we will be piloting a Transfer Workshop, which will cover the basics of researching institutions, applying for transfer, deadlines, financial aid and scholarships, articulation agreements, credit transfer, and more. The event will be on Tuesday, September 18 from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. in SW301, Rockville Campus. Students (and staff!) can RSVP here (

3. Show students the new Transfer website! We recently launched a new transfer website( ), which provides easily accessible information for students, faculty and staff. We also redesigned the Transfer Times, which is the virtual newsletter of the transfer office.

4. Host a classroom presentation. Dean Schleicher (Articulation and Transfer Specialist) and Seth Kamen (director of transfer and prior learning design) are available to attend your class to provide a brief, 15-20 minute presentation on transfer. Email to request a visit.

It's never too early to start students on the path to transfer!
