Translatable! - the annual Open Mic celebration of International Translation Day is hosted again this year by MC's Confluence translation initiative and the DC-Area Literary Translators Network (DC-ALT).

Come join us Friday evening, Sept. 28, 2018, in Cafritz Arts Center Room CF 101, 930 King Street, Silver Spring, MD 20910. The Open Mic program begins at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. for mingling and refreshments in the Atrium, and Open Mic sign-up.

The event is free and open to all--students, staff, faculty, and the public.

Open Mic participants take turns reading or reciting a short poem or other literary text in the original language, followed by reading a translation of the original (usually into English).

For disability accommodation, for more information, or to volunteer to help with Confluence translation events at Montgomery College, call Mark Miller, Librarian, 240-567-1538 or e-mail
