Kindness Challenge Open to All MC Employees: 40 Days of Intentional Acts

As you know, the Germantown Campus is celebrating its 40th birthday. For our milestone birthday, we have decided to give ourselves and each other 40 days of kindness - 40 days of intentional acts that will encourage, support, or provide for someone. All MC employees are invited to participate.

To make participation as simple as possible, we have put boxes, paper people, and brief instructions in every building on the Germantown campus. We are asking each of you to write down a kind act that you performed on a paper person and put it in the box. All of the paper people will then be put on a globe that is displayed in the library. Our goal during the next 40 days is to fill the world with kindness.

We have also created an online submission option so that employees and students Collegewide can participate. Just go to and enter your kindness. Someone will write your act on a paper person and place it on the globe for you.

We have attached a calendar filled with suggestions of things you can do on any given day to demonstrate kindness. We encourage you to print this out, hang it in your work area or put it in a place you will see daily to remind you of this kindness challenge.

We will bring the globe filled with hundreds of cut out people to the end-of-the-year campus celebration so we can marvel at the many ways we gave and received kindness during this 40 day challenge. We'll also tweet it out for all our colleagues at MC to enjoy.

We thank you ahead of time for participating.

In a world where you can be anything .... Be kind!
