Hey, poets (everyone from veteran to aspiring). The "It Takes a Community" workshop series has an event for you!

Join <b>Sandi Leibowitz</b> on Saturday, November 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Rockville Campus Science West, Room 301 for a FREE poetry workshop:
<b>"Songs of Bones and Jewels--Poetry of the Fantastic."</b>

Ms. Leibowitz, author of <i>The Bone-Joiner</i> and <i>Eurydice Sings</i>, editor of <i>Sycorax Journal</i>, and founder of Sycorax Press, will discuss contemporary speculative poetry--verse that re-examines myths and fairy tales or creates new words. She will read from her own works and those of other Sycorax authors. She will also lead participants in creating original works of speculative poetry.

All Montgomery College students and employees are welcome, as are all Montgomery County residents.

Cookies and beverages will be served.

RSVP Marianne.Szlyk@montgomerycollege.edu

Sponsored by the English and Reading Department, Montgomery College, and the Paul Peck Humanities Institute.
