Scholarly Brown Bag
Are you interested in pursuing scholarly research? Are you currently engaged in scholarly research that you would like to share with the MC community? Then this event may interest you!
ELITE is introducing a series of Scholarly Brown Bag sessions intended to bring like-minded individuals together to support research endeavors such as graduate degree attainment, publishing in journals, and presenting at conferences.
The Scholarly Brown Bags are one hour sessions for MC staff and faculty to discuss current research topics related to academic issues in the context of community colleges. We want to hear your ideas about what kinds of research you'd like to pursue, and how we can support you in doing so.
Outcomes:
1. To engage the MC community in ongoing, thoughtful conversations about research related to current topics affecting community colleges and their students.
2. To provide a venue for MC staff and faculty engaged (or interested) in scholarly research on academic issues to network with one another and find common ground for collaboration.
3. To generate new ideas for research collaborations related to student success and aligned with the College's priorities of teaching excellence, innovation, and social justice.
