Eight nursing students and four nursing faculty traveled to Glouchester, VA this past weekend. They, along with many others provided over $194,293 in medical services to 381 patients for free. Over two long days students helped with triaging patients, providing health education, dental assisting, collecting vital signs and providing glucose testing. Many patients, who arrived at midnight the night before, have not had any dental, vision or medical care in years. The patients were all ages and included children and working adults. This is the second time MC has taken students to this program.
