The Personal is Pedagogical: A Classroom without Walls, an Interview with Political Science Professor Greg Sember.

The Hub is pleased to add to its repertoire of podcasts from MC staff and faculty on how their personal experience has influenced their work at MC, whether it be in the classroom or in the way they relate to students. This is a series of podcasts that will spotlight various MC staff/faculty with respect to their personal philosophies on student success.

For this month's Personal is Pedagogical podcast, we are pleased to present Political Science Professor Greg Sember on the Rockville Campus. In this podcast, Sember reflects on his career and how he developed a classroom without walls, informing his teaching philosophy. He shares his perspective on teaching students beyond the borders of the traditional classroom. For example, he takes his students to the heart of the political action in Washington DC and utilizes social media to educate his students. By moving politics outside of the classroom, he creates an atmosphere of engagement and lifelong learning.
