For this year's International Women's Day, on March 8, 2019, ELITE, Student Life, and Women's and Gender Studies have organized an all-day conference with a focus on Women Leaders at MC. It is open to all MC students, staff and faculty. There will be a keynote address, followed by active small group work and breakout sessions on a wide range of topics relevant for women students, faculty and staff. The attention will be on lessons learned and action steps for career/professional development. The symposium qualifies for MC's multicultural requirement, and students will receive extra credit for their attendance (in negotiation with a faculty member). Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
For more information, please contact Dr. Caroline Toscano at Caroline.Toscano@montgomerycollege.edu
At the end of this conference, participants will be able to
* Compare and contrast their own career experiences with those of their peers - students, faculty or staff
* Articulate one or two steps they can immediately take to further their career
* Name at least two MC women contacts who are willing to provide career/professional advice
