The American Association for Women in Community Colleges is proud to present its 2018-2019 national scholarships. One scholarship provides $500 for women enrolled at community colleges. The other scholarship provides $1,500 to women enrolled in a doctoral program, who have been employed full-time at any community college in the United States. Each scholarship deadline is 5 p.m. (EST) - Friday, February 15, 2019.

AAWCC $500 National Scholarship

All women enrolled at community colleges are welcome to apply. All applicants must secure a letter of support from their local/campus AAWCC Chapter. For a letter of support, please contact the Montgomery College AAWCC Chapter President, Tracee Matthias at Tracee.Matthias@montgomerycollege.edu or (240) 567-2595. Applicants should email the completed application, along with the required supporting documents to AAWCC Regional II Director Dr. Okema Bowers, obowers@tcc.edu.

AAWCC $1,500 Doctoral Scholarship

AAWCC created this initiative as an ongoing effort to champion women and maximize their potential. The scholarship is restricted to women who have been or are employed full-time at any community college in the United States. Preference will also be given to women who document completed coursework in community colleges. The $1,500 scholarship will be awarded through a competitive process.

All applicants should email their completed application, along with the required supporting documents formatted into a single PDF to Dr. Claudia Curry, ccurry@ccp.edu by the deadline. Completed scholarship applications will be reviewed by a Screening Committee in March. The winner will be notified in early April.

The scholarship applications have been attached below. For more information, please visit aawccnatl.org and click the "Scholarship" link tab to access the application under the heading "National Board Scholarship".
