The 2019-2020 Maryland State Financial Aid Application (MSFAA) is available to applicants who are ineligible to receive federal aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The MSFAA allows qualified children of undocumented immigrants, who qualify for in-state tuition under 15-106.8 of the MD Education Article, to apply and be considered for certain types of State need-based financial aid, such as the: Howard P. Rawlings Educational Excellence Awards Program, the Part Time Grant, the Maryland Community College Promise Scholarship, and the Richard W. Collins III Leadership with Honor Scholarship.

The MSFAA application is available on the Maryland College Aid Processing System (MDCAPS) website and must be completed by March 1, 2019. If students have questions about whether to file a FAFSA or MSFAA, please visit https://mhec.state.md.us/Pages/MSFAA-FAQS.aspx

The Montgomery College Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) will host "MSFAA Monday" to help students complete the MSFAA application. "MSFAA Monday" will be held on February 25, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Office of Student Financial Aid on all three campuses. Students attending "MSFAA Monday" should bring the following information for themselves and their parent(s): 2017 federal tax return and W-2s, 2017 untaxed income information, bank statements, net worth of investments, businesses and/or investment farms, and Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
