Montgomery College will be offering a Quantitative Reasoning in the Disciplines (QRID) Fellowship for the 19/20 Academic Year. Our students are entering a world that increasingly demands strong quantitative skills. This program is designed to help faculty infuse more quantitative reasoning skills into their courses or to adapt current quantitative approaches to align with best practices in hopes of having our students learn to meet these demands. More information about the program is in the attached document.

The deadline for applications is April 10, 2019. The application is available at

What is the purpose of this fellowship program?
Montgomery College's Quantitative Reasoning in the Disciplines Program (QRID) supports faculty in all disciplines to develop innovative pedagogical techniques that enable all students to identify, navigate, and apply quantitative information in their personal, professional, and academic lives. We have created the Quantitative Reasoning in the Disciplines Fellowship Program in order to bring together a cohort of faculty members dedicated to pursuing a scholarship of teaching and learning that will improve quantitative reasoning pedagogy in their own courses, in their disciplines, and across disciplines at Montgomery College.

Who may apply?
Full-time and part-time faculty in any discipline who already incorporate quantitative reasoning skills into their courses or who wish to begin infusing quantitative reasoning skills into their courses may apply. We are seeking a fellowship cohort with a range of comfort levels in quantitative reasoning and in teaching quantitative reasoning.
