The Montgomery College Library is integrating select library resources into Blackboard courses. Beginning in fall 2019, the service will automatically be available in all Blackboard courses. We are offering trainings this week to help you prepare!

So what is this service? Beginning in fall 2019, a "library" link will appear in the menu of every Blackboard course at MC. When clicked, the link will take users to three library services (plus a link to the library website) that will support students with crucial library resources, right at the point of need. The three services included are:

-Course Reserves: students can use this link to see any course-related materials held at the library, including the course textbook. Faculty can use this link to request that additional items be placed on reserve.

-Library Course Pages and Research Guides: Clicking this link will take students and faculty into the most-relevant course page, research toolkit, or research subject guide available at the library.

-Information Literacy Content: This link will only be visible to the faculty member. It will lead you to the library's information literacy learning objects (tutorials, quizzes, and videos) and instructions on how to embed those learning objects directly in your Blackboard course.

To help you prepare for this change, we are offering three training sessions this week, and will also offer trainings during fall professional week and online.

Please register for this week's trainings in MC Learns under Schedule of Classes & Events > Pedagogy & Instruction.
