The Office of Equity and Inclusion is hosting Fall Equity Dialogue sessions:

Friday, October 4, 2019, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Center on the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, 7995 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD.

Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 9:30 p.m. - Midnight on the Rockville Campus.

Our president, Dr. DeRionne Pollard, will offer opening remarks and a summation of the 2019 Equity Summit. The 2019 Equity Summit theme was "From Awareness to Action." In moving towards "Action," the College will engage in several equity dialogues throughout the FY20 academic year.

MC's Fall Equity Dialogues will provide a forum for discussing the Equity and Inclusion survey results and a conversation on Racial Equity and Social Justice.

The dialogues, which are open to students and employees, will provide participants the opportunity to understand how equity and inclusion go beyond diversity; learn new information about racial equity; share what they learn with their table colleagues; feel empowered to work toward a more equitable environment at MC and within Montgomery County; and identify at least one action they can take to work toward equity and inclusion in their office, classroom, or community.

Lunch and/or refreshments will be provided.

For additional information, please contact the Office of Equity and Inclusion at, 240-567-5276, or or register on MC Learns, Schedule of Classes and Events, Diversity and Multiculturalism.
