<p><strong><em>The Department of Visual and Performing Arts on the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus is happy to announce that our Fall 2019 Artist-In-Residents: Bradley Chriss and Leslie Holt are here and working in the CF 193A-B studio. Please stop by to visit, see work in progress, ask them questions during this fall semester.</em></strong></p>
<p><b>Bradley Chriss</b>, August-December 2019</p>
<p>Bradley Chriss is an internationally exhibiting artist currently living in Appalachia. Bradley received his M.F.A. from American University in 2008 and has exhibited and performed in notable spaces including Gavin Brown's Enterprise@Passerby, Transformer Gallery, Eyebeam, Katzen Arts Center, White Cube, Curator's Office and the Arlington Arts Center.</p>
<p><b>Resident Artist Studio Hours:</b></p>
<p>Bradley Chriss will hold designated open studio hours during the fall semester:</p>

<p><b>Leslie Holt</b>, August-December 2019</p>
<p>Leslie Holt is a mixed media artist and educator who exhibits nationally and is represented by David Lusk Gallery in Memphis. Her work has been reviewed and highlighted in New American Paintings # 130, Washington Post, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the Nashville Scene, among other publications. She has received grants from Prince George's County Arts and Humanities Council and the Maryland State Arts Council. Her recent work combines stains of acrylic paint and embroidery to explore the often private states of extreme emotion caused by war, loss, or mental illness. She has taught on the college level for over 15 years but now mostly teaches in community based settings, primarily teens and adults with disabilities. She is currently Co-director of Red Dirt Studio, a warehouse studio for a group of independently practicing artists and creative professionals in Mt. <p><strong>Location:</strong> The Artist-In-Resident studio CF 193A-B is on the ground floor of The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Arts Center on the west side of the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. The arts center is located off Georgia Avenue at 930 King Street. Parking is available in the West Campus Garage, which is immediately behind the center. Additional parking is available in the East Campus Garage on Fenton Street with pedestrian access by a bridge and walking path.</p>
