Montgomery College will host its seventh annual Humanities Days at Montgomery College (HD@MC) during the week of October 21-25, 2019. The 2019 theme is "BRANCHES FROM THE SAME TREE: INTEGRATING THE HUMANITIES AND ARTS WITH SCIENCES, ENGINEERING AND MEDICINE." Our theme is inspired by the 2018 report--with a nearly identical name--produced by the National Academies of Science, Technology and Medicine. The NAS sought to study how institutions of higher education can offer students a more balanced education that encourages them to learn across disciplines and to "be more prepared for work, life and citizenship."

Please contact the coordinator at your campus (listed below) to share your "Branches from the Same Tree" program or activity ideas by September 13, 2019. Faculty, help us identify the best times to schedule events to meet your class meeting times. Those of you at MC's Corporate or Wheaton locations, please reach to Professor Ducey with your ideas and requests. All HD@MC events are free and open to the public on a space available basis.
