The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) invites Montgomery College and other prospective students to learn more about the USG campus and the wide variety of undergraduate degree programs offered by its university partners at the upcoming Undergraduate Expo on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event is beneficial for students who are looking to transfer and complete a bachelor's degree.

USG is a regional higher education center of the University System of Maryland that offers approximately 80 undergraduate and graduate degree programs from nine different state universities, all on one convenient campus in Montgomery County.

Attendees of the fall Undergraduate Expo will be able to tour the campus, including USG's new Biomedical Sciences and Engineering (BSE) education facility. They will also be able to meet with program representatives to learn about admission requirements for each of the degree programs, the ability to transfer credits from Montgomery College and other institutions, career tracks, scholarships and financial aid, and more.

Prospective students will also learn about new programming that will be available starting this fall at USG, with the opening of the BSE. The BSE is a 220,000-square-foot building that will feature fully-equipped teaching laboratories, collaborative learning spaces, and clinical training facilities, including a state-of-the-art community dental clinic with 20 examination chairs and four surgical offices.

For those attending the expo, parking will be available free of charge in the campus's Shady Grove Garage, which is located at the corner of Shady Grove Road and Darnestown Road. USG Student Ambassadors will direct attendees from the garage to the event, which is about a five-minute walk. Handicapped parking is also available in the Traville Gateway Garage on level 2 or above. Individuals who park in the Traville Garage should take a ticket from the gate when they arrive and ask for a voucher when they check in at the event, to exit free of charge.
