The Office of the Vice President and Provost, Germantown, in collaboration with the Visual, Performing and Media Arts Area at Montgomery College, is pleased to present Camille Saint Saëns whimsical composition, The Carnival of the Animals, on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 5 p.m. Our interpretation of this delightful piece will include two grand pianos playing simultaneously, colorful illustrations of the playful creatures, and an impassioned reading of Ogden Nash's Verses associated with this masterpiece. The pianists, William Chang and Ellen Suh, the artist, David Carter, and the narrator, Reverend Don Marbury, will take the audience on a fun and lively expedition that will include the sights and sounds of lions, hens, donkeys, turtles, elephants, kangaroos, fish and birds of all kinds, and even young pianists practicing their scales.

The concert will take place in Globe Hall in the High Technology and Science Center on the Germantown Campus. Children can engage in educational and entertaining pre-concert activities beginning at 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Mark your calendars now and plan to join us for this free family event that is certain to be fabulous! To request accommodations, please contact 240-567-7711.
