Effective January 1, Montgomery College will be transitioning from Chicago style to AP style. The Editorial Style Guide provides MC's preferred standards for official correspondence, reports, and messages to the community.

Created by the Office of Communications and based on The Associated Press Stylebook, this guide should be adopted by all College staff and faculty who routinely write, edit, proofread, review, and otherwise produce written correspondence. Our Editorial Style Guide should be consulted first before other references. Your next choice for reference should be Merriam-Webster's Dictionary and The Associated Press Stylebook.
