Students and employees from the Montgomery College community are invited to submit proposals for breakout sessions 60 minutes in length, related to the theme, "Changing Ourselves, Changing Our Culture." This event for employees and students will include keynote and workshop sessions on building the Montgomery College culture of equity and inclusion, starting from within. Sessions will help individuals develop personal and professional actions, as well as impact College practices that build an inclusive environment, equitable student success rates, and employee career growth and satisfaction. Participants in "Changing Ourselves, Changing Our Culture," will leave having closely examined their own role and context at the College, having accepted perspectives from others with different backgrounds, and having begun developing an action plan to help elevate equity and inclusion at Montgomery College.

The exact times of day of these workshops will be determined after receipt of proposals. The 2020 Equity Summit will take place between the early afternoon and evening of April 1, 2020 at the Germantown Campus. Presenters can expect an audience of approximately 25-125 for each breakout session.
