<p>Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training course that teaches participants to be able to identify, understand and respond to mental health and substance abuse disorders within the community. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. Completion of the course will result in a 3-year certification in Mental Health First Aid.</p>
<p>Registration is available now through MCLearns under Pedagogy and Instruction. There will be an $18.95 fee associated with the course for the purchase of Participant Manuals (that you will keep). Information on how to pay will be emailed to you when course registration closes.</p>
<p>This course is being offered over the course of 2 days, you *MUST* register for both classes to receive your certification.</p>
<p>Rockville Campus- Wednesdays March 4 and 11 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.</p>
<p>Germantown Campus- Thursdays April 2 and 9 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.</p>
